Men and fashion aren’t exactly a match made in heaven. However did you know that a man’s shoes can say a lot about him? This can be an extremely helpful tell-tale sign before deciding to go out with a man, hence avoiding disastrous first dates!
Timberland boots
I love a man in classic, tanned Timberland boots. He’s usually a guy who loves outdoor activities, macho to boot (no pun intended), laid back, drives a Range Rover Evoque (bonus points, since that’s our dream car!). His idea of a perfect date would probably be a rap concert and getting to know each other intimately. A man who chooses Timberland boots is loyal and long lasting just like his shoes. Fights are common, but we always find a way around them, like the kind of relationship Jay Z and Beyonce have.
Converse
A simple guy who’s loved everywhere he goes. Just like a trustworthy pair of Converse shoes, this guy makes the perfect type to bring home and meet the parents cause he makes us comfortable in our skin, he understands us and he’s down to earth. Dudes in Converse shoes usually have creative jobs, are very artistic, probably rock stars with a sensitive side.
Hipster shoes
Uh, I’d rather not comment. Hipster shoes have the tendency to look like girly shoes, from certain angles. So Urban Dictionary defines Hipsters as those who can’t be labelled, with preference to art and individuality. Fact is, the price of your art and individuality can be quite hefty in the Malaysian Hipster industry. Well, you’ll attract your own kind so some Hipster chick out there should dig this.
Ferragamo, Prada,Gucci dress shoes
Men who choose dress shoes are often spotted in sexy, crisp Ermenegildo Zegna or Hugo Boss suits. Which girl can say no to a man in a suit? Just like his footwear of option, this man is most definitely a boss, drives a fancy car and spends like his father owns this country (most chances are his father is a Dato’). I’ve only got one thing against this type of guy. He treats women like commodity, easily bought and tossed aside when something better or tighter comes up.
Puma shoes
Only Cristiano Ronaldo wannabes who think of nothing more than body building and tanning would choose Puma shoes. Yes, they’re comfortable sports shoes, yet I don’t think I could sit and have a conversation with this kind of guy. If you’re a gym bunny too, then you’ll have more in common. Have gym dates too!
Nike, Jordan,Adidas sneakers
First things first, if you’re going to wear sneakers, don’t pair them with khaki pants or a polo shirt unless you’re my dad.
Other than that, sneakers reflect a man who is kind and reliable. If you have any unresolved issues, sneaker man will listen and try and solve them for you. So he dresses like your dad, but at the end of the day, you do seek solace in father figures (but don’t go dating random old men because not all of them are father figures).

Slippers
Unless you’re going to the mosque for prayers, I would strongly advise against wearing slippers or flip flops. It’s not low maintenance, darling, it’s just being lazy. Girls don’t like lazy boys
